NOTE : SUNDAY LIFE DRAWING WITH DAVID LEE is back! Contact: dleeway1116@hotmaildotcom
OUTPOST now hosts life drawing classes, Sunday mornings 10am - 1pm

Each and every Sunday Mick Goodrick and I host a meeting of the art worlds. 3 hours of drawing and our live improvisational music. We call it right brain sanctuary. It's quite amazing and indescribable how these sessions, with a live model, great friendly artists, musicians, music and chocolate all combine to offer the deepest insights into the creative process, how art and music inform one another.
If you're free, Outpost Gallery 186 1/2 Hampshire Street, Inman Sq Cambridge from 10 AM to 1 in the afternoon. We collect $15 for the model. All are welcome, bring your own drawing materials.

Three Boston Photographers
Lois Fiore, Curator

The artists showing work in “Night/Shapes/Color” come from starkly different backgrounds and work in different ways. What you will see in common when viewing their show, however, is the boldness of their work. None are timid about shooting at night (without flash), shooting strong shapes and designs, or using dramatic and pure color.

Curator Lois Fiore has been a painter for almost 40 years and has been taking photos for six. She takes her photos at night, often without flash, and takes photos while still walking or moving. If she does stop to frame a shot, she has one rule – take the photo in three seconds or move on. In this show, her work is “Night.”

Peter Gumaskas is a Boston-based commercial and editorial photographer. After graduating from the Hallmark Institute of Photography, he spent some years as a mechanic and custom car builder before returning to photography professionally in 2014. He still works on vintage cars along with his photography work. Peter’s work is “Shapes.”

Ted Prato has traveled extensively for work and pleasure, taking the opportunity to explore with his camera. That's 20 years of going down back alleys, into swamps and hidden pathways. He says he’s looking for something inexplicable – a patch of color or texture, a mystery, a teasing challenge for the viewer to interpret. Ted’s work is “Color.”
