OUTPOST now hosts life drawing classes, Sunday mornings 10am - 12:30pm

Each and every Sunday Mick Goodrick and I host a meeting of the art worlds. 3 hours of drawing and our live improvisational music. We call it right brain sanctuary. It's quite amazing and indescribable how these sessions, with a live model, great friendly artists, musicians, music and chocolate all combine to offer the deepest insights into the creative process, how art and music inform one another.
If you're free, Outpost Gallery 186 1/2 Hampshire Street, Inman Sq Cambridge from 10 AM to 1 in the afternoon. We collect $15 for the model. All are welcome, bring your own drawing materials.

notloB Music presents

JD Williams’ senior recital

Contact JD Williams through his website - - to make reservations; if there is room, the general public will be allowed in on a first come/first served basis.

presented by notloB Music

JD Williams, featured artist
As a professional musician working in New England’s Folk music scene, JD has a passion for performance. Studying Professional Music with a minor in American Roots Music and a focus on mandolin at Berklee College of Music afforded him the opportunity and privilege to learn performance techniques from Dave Hollender, Jane Miller, Kimberly Khare, Lucy Holstedt, Joe Galeota, Jimmy Kachulis, Jerry Leake, Joe K. Walsh, Bruce Molsky, Maeve Gilchrist, Matt Glaser, and the late John McGann. Teaching mandolin on the side, JD tours internationally with acoustic Americana band Amy Gallatin & Stillwaters and can be seen performing with artists such as Nathan Day, Cat and The Moon, and The Common Denominators.

Amy Gallatin & Stillwaters

Amy Gallatin: guitar, vocals
Eric Levenson: upright bass
Roger Williams: dobro, vocals

The Common Denominators
Jordan Alleman: banjo, vocals
Avery Ballotta: fiddle, vocals
Dan Bui: upright bass, vocals
Adam Moore: guitar, vocals

Act I: Amy Gallatin & Stillwaters
Amy, Roger, Eric, and JD perform selected songs from their 2014 release Everything I Wanted Love To Be, featuring the works of songwriters from all over the world—including John Cadley (New York), Ryan Roberts (Canada), and Elly Beurskens (the Netherlands).

Act II: Williams Squared
Roger and JD showcase tunes that they each wrote over the years, utilizing slightly different styles and approaches as they unfold melodic explorations of the resonator guitar and mandolin, respectively, as well as the father-son dynamic that is more easily observed in a duo setting.

Act III: The Common Denominators
Jordan, Avery, Dan, Adam, and JD dig some gems out of the bluegrass coalmine (who threw the gems into the mineshaft we’ll never know), mixing in some original material to produce an alchemical byproduct of tones that are both new and old, traditional and modern.
