Kathy Olson - baritone sax

Plamen Karadonev - piano

Bruno Raberg - bass

The Olson Pingrey Quartet

Kathy Olson - baritone sax

Randy Pingrey - trombone

Mark Zaleski - bass

Austin McMahon - drums

The Olson Pingrey Quartet had our album "Low Contrast" reviewed in Cadence Magazine where Jerome Wilson called it "a fresh and fun slant on some classic materials" and that the tunes "have a clipped interplay and strutting beauty that brings to mind Mulligan dueling with Bob Brookmeyer, a nice bled of low tones over a high-stepping rhythm section."

This chord-less quartet fronted by baritone saxophone and trombone plays a mix of originals and inventive arrangements of standards.

You can visit our website to find out more about the group and to listen to some recordings from our album:

john mulrooney presents poets

Jim Behrle & Douglas Rothchild

Aw yeah - This is how to get your Valentine's on. Looking for just the right date? Look no further.

The poet DglsN.Rthsjchld does not really exist as such. Having considered the various possibilities, it seems, in all likelyhood, that 'his writings' are produced by some sort of synthetic syntactic system, created by some form of semi-autonomous 'emotive' generator.

Jim Behrle lives in Jersey City, NJ. His latest chapbooks are SUCCUBUS BLUES (Editions Louis Wain) and IT SERVES ME RIGHT TO SUFFER (Hotel Poetry). He serves as co-host of "Sportsy Talk" on WFMU Mondays at 6 PM. He works at a bookstore and his poems have appeared in the New York Times, Shampoo and inside of notebooks with puppies on the cover.
